Italy 2010 - Day 3: Stresa and Isola Bella

Back in 2003 we also visited Isola Bella and it really is a MUST SEE if you’re going to Italy!
It’s situated on Lake Maggiore near the town of Stresa. The main attraction of the island is the castle which was built by Carlo III of the influential House of Borromeo. The palazzo was dedicated to his wife, Isabella D'Adda, after whom the island is named.
